Blessed Day,
We had an INCREDIBLE ministry kickoff this past weekend, so wonderful to see friends old and new!
SJVYM First Look:
September 24 - First Confirmation Session
September 29-October 1 Confirmation Retreat
October 8 - Parish Bazaar
Bazaar Volunteers Needed
SJVYM is again excited to help out at the Parish Bazaar on Sunday October 8th, 2023! Please register your teens for the correct stations for Middle or High School below.
Middle School will be running the Snow Cone and Cotton Candy booths. High School will be supervising the Ride/Inflatables!
Teens will help collect Booth Tickets for food or rides, although most kids will have a wristband that gives them unlimited access to the rides. Teens will monitor the lines, and professionals from the rental company will be the ones actually running the rides.
Shifts are 2 hour timeslots and require 2-4 volunteers per area, 2 parent supervisors are needed per timeslot as well for a total of 30 middle school volunteers and 80 high school volunteers (20 parents).
Confirmation Teens are required to volunteer for the Bazaar in some capacity. If you are helping with another booth, or cannot attend Sunday but can help set up the days before the event, that will count for Liturgical Service as long as the Confirmation Coordinator has been made aware.
Bazaar goes on rain or shine so sign-up to help today!
Parent Meeting**
Reminder to sign up for the Parent Meeting this Sunday September 17th 645-830pm in the Activity Center Lounge!
Parents are invited to come learn more about our Faith Formation, Youth Group, and Confirmation ministries. Meet and pray with other parents, get more information about our retreats, service opportunities, and ways to help your family grow in discipleship. New Youth Formation Cathy Null will join Matt, Josh, and Lee in sharing our vision for the young church at SJV in West Houston.
**Note: This is not required for Confirmation families, 1 parent is required to attend the first Confirmation Session with their teen Sept 24th at 645pm
As always reach out with any questions or feedback :)
P.S. Check out this video of Fr. David Michael Moses (Priest in our Archdiocese) living like St. John Vianney for a day!
